Our Policies > Inclusion Policy
Created 2025-09-12
Carnelian Web Services seeks to create a warm, welcoming environment for all colleagues, visitors, suppliers, and clients. We are committed to investing in and supporting justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion within our organisation and eliminating illegal discrimination.
We will:
- Provide equality, fairness and respect for all colleagues, visitors, suppliers, and clients.
- Not unlawfully discriminate on the grounds of age, disabled status, gender reassignment, marital status, pregnancy and maternity, race (including colour, nationality, and ethnic or national origin), religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation, or any other marginalized group.
- Oppose and avoid all forms of unlawful discrimination. This includes in pay and benefits, terms and conditions of employment, dealing with grievances and discipline, dismissal, redundancy, leave for parents, requests for flexible working, and selection for employment, promotion, training or other developmental opportunities.
- Review all our policies to ensure that they do not indirectly discriminate against any marginalized group. (Indirect discrimination can happen when you have a condition, rule, policy, or practice in your company that applies to everyone but particularly disadvantages people who are members of a marginalized group.)
- Invest in and support justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion throughout our organisation.
- Create an inclusive working environment free of bullying, harassment, victimisation, and discrimination.
- Use the correct pronouns, names, and other terminology to refer to people. If we make a mistake, we will apologize and do better next time.
- Promote dignity and respect for all.
- Ensure zero tolerance for acts of bullying, harassment, victimisation and unlawful discrimination, in any environment under our control.
- Taking complaints seriously of bullying, harassment, victimisation and unlawful discrimination by team members, customers, suppliers, or the public.
- Reviewing our practices and procedures when necessary to ensure fairness, and also updating them and the policy to take account of changes in the law.
- Reviewing our Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion strategy annually, and setting new goals to take action in addressing any issues.
